Snake in the A/C unit
I turned on the A/C today for the first time this year and soon my wife said there was a loud bang outside where the ICP unit sits. I went out, looked down in there and I see a snake hacked up in a couple places, I assume from the fan blade. After getting rid of the snake, I looked around to see if everything was okay and I see a green wire with a yellow stripe that is hanging from the fan housing. There is also one hanging from the inside wall. I was gonna take the cover off and connect them, but I thought I better find out for sure. I don't want to fry anything. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums.
The green wire is a ground. It may go from the motor to the frame.
We'd need a picture of the other one to help. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...-pictures.html
If you can't get a picture.... the model number may be enough.
The biggest problem with something getting into the fan is bending the blades and throwing them out of balance.

Same green wire with a yellow stripe. Basically, I'm thinking it was cut in half while the whole snake thing happened. Just wanted to double check with people that know this stuff. I'll try to get a picture in the morning. Thanks again.

If you have two green wires with no terminals.... you're probably right.... it got cut.
You can use a butt crimp and crimp them together.
