Push start my a/c blower fan
Hi!
I have a Goodman CLQ30-1b a/c unit that's probably pushing 10 years old. The fan on top of it won't spin unless I "push start it". Once I do that it runs great! Does this mean the motor needs replaced? Or is it something else?
I don't mind sinking the ~$130 for a new fan because it looks rather easy to replace.
Thanks everyone!

The condition you described is a classic sign of a bad capacitor. Most A/C systems have two capacitors, one for the compressor and one for the fan. They often use a dual capacitor (identified by having 3 terminals), although sometimes you'll see two individual capacitors. Purchase a capacitor that has the same values (mfd) and the same or higher voltage rating. You can usually find them on Amazon or at a local HVAC supplier or Graingers.
Note, if you have a dual capacitor, the smaller value is the fan side, while the larger value is the compressor side.

Thanks for including a picture of the label. What you have is a 5mfd and 35mfd dual capacitor, rated at 370VAC. Here are a couple of Amazon links to compatible capacitors:
