After not working for several hours, system started working...
Hi All, My AC Unit and Air Handler would not turn on. I turned the system off for a few hours and then decided to test again and it turned on. (woohooo!) Any thoughts on what i should check given that the system definitely stopped working for several hours (thermostat set to 72 and inside temp increased to 80). Nice cold air coming out of all vents.
Thanks!
Thanks!

A slow drain can trip a float switch.
Lack of refrigerant can cause ice to form across the indoor coil.
Lack of airflow across the indoor coil can also cause ice.
Water would be visible under the indoor coil for at least 2 and possibly all 3 of the first possibilities.
A weak capacitor can cause a motor failure.
A contactor can also cause intermittent failure.
