Running vent through wall instead of window

For my portable AC unit I was wanting to build a professional looking vent through the wall instead of through the window. Anyone ever done this before. What parts did you buy?

I would think a dryer type vent for the output of the unit and a make up air vent for the supply (if it has one) would work fine for a portable A/C. Only issue I see is you will have to seal it up if your location gets cold in the winter.

The problem with a dryer vent is without modification it will not work for intake. The flapper will be sucked closed. If you unfortunately bought the one tube model yes a dryer vent will work. Post a couple of picture of the window vent if a two tube model and we can go from there.

Remote cell and telephone sites have this for back up AC for when the main unit goes down. 4in PVC through the wall. cap inside and out when not in use.

That is why I said a make up air vent for the intake. I should have put fresh air vent.
