A/C condenser fan motor
OK so my AC unit quit working. So I checked the breaker not tripped. Tried shutting off restarting at thermostat nothing. Fan not kicking on. So I then did some research checked it again. Compressor came on so I spun the fan with a long screwdriver it started working went to cycle off then back on same problem. So I repeated steps working but when it cycles off and on again same thing happens. So question is I guess fan motor or contractor? Please help broke currently unemployed and live in Arizona currently it is 111 F. Ouch is right.

Welcome to the forums.
On the next down (off) time. Turn off power to the outside condenser and remove the wiring access panel. Look for the capacitor. Visibly check it for bulges. More than likely it needs to be replaced even with no visible damage.
It will more than likely be a round metal capacitor with three terminals on top. On it will be its ratings.... uf and volts.
