A/C condenser fan motor

Iím having problems with an older Carrier unit, and the fan motor seems to hang up. I heard a buzzing sound, did the spin with a stick trick and it started. I assumed it was the capacitor, so I replaced it with the exact same model. It starts fine, but after cycling off I get the same buzzing sound and have to spin it again. Has the motor gone bad? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's possible that the bearings in the fan motor are going bad. When the motor has been running for some time, they heat up, enlarge slightly from the heat, and bind, causing the motor to not have enough torque to startup. Since you have already replaced the capacitor, the only thing left is the fan motor itself.
