HVDR wiring question

I am replacing the condenser fan motor and the capacitor on my Janitrol A/C unit and i noticed on my capacitor one of the C wires on the capacitor is connected to the DF2 on the HVDR and the DF1 wire on the HVDR is connected to the condenser motor. My A/C schematic shows the DF1 connected to the capacitor and the DF2 connected to the condenser motor. Does it matter if they are reversed ?

Welcome to the forums.

No.... the fan will work fine if reversed.
That is just a switch that turns the fan off in the winter time during a defrost period.
It basically just breaks the two wires open.

What you hear running should be the compressor.

For a test...... you can short or connect those two wires together at the defrost board.
If the fan works.... the board has a problem.
