Leaking A/C
Hello,
Have a Furnace in the basement and see that water is dripping down from the furnace aluminum tube that goes to the second floor, don't see any water leaking from the tube that goes to the first floor.
What could be the cause?
Thanks,

You have a gas furnace with a split A/C system.
The furnace is in the basement..... which means the coil is in the basement.
If water is running down a duct when in A/C mode it means the duct is running thru a hot zone and condensing. All ductwork must be insulated when not in a conditioned space. Sometimes if it's real humid the cold ductwork will sweat in a damp basement.
