a/c problem or not

toward the end of the summer last year I noticed that the air conditioning condenser outside was blowing hot air out the top, the suction tube was not very cool or sweating. it was probably 85 degrees outside. the compressor and fan were running and the house was cooling, but it seemed to run a lot. do you think this signifies a problem with the air and what to look for? it is a goodman 2 ton 14 seer. conderser coils dirty, low on freon, A coil plugged ? the compressor seems to be running smooth and was looking to get the jump on any problems before it ran to hot or low on freon, causing the compressor to burn out. any ideas? thanks

That is a good indication of the system being low on refrigerant. That line needs to be ice cold.
