Supply Plenum leaking condensate from hot air?

The supply plenum is leaking a good amount of water. My suspicion is that there is an opening at some point around the plenum that is causing condensation.

I've tried using some foil tape and some rubber leak sealant with no luck.

Would it be a reasonable DIY thing to replace it? Any tips?

There is likely more to this story as condensation occurs on cold objects, not warm ones.

This is the direct link to the cold air supply from the air handler.

When it is leaking are you running the a/c or the heat?

Sounds like the supply line and running in A/C mode. There doesn't have to be a leak. Just having that cold duct run thru an unconditioned space will cause condensation. If it runs up a wall and into the attic.... it must be insulated as far down the wall as you can reach and then of course in the attic itself.

My furnace-A/C is in the basement. All my ductwork is in conditioned space but if the humidity is real high the ducts in the basement will sweat.
