Mini Split Size Suggestion

I would like to get my garage a bit cooler. It is a 20’x20’ with a single 16’ door. The two sides are concrete 8” block coated with stucco inside and out. The back wall is 2”x6” drywall, insulated, and abuts the air conditioned house space. The garage ceiling is 9’ and is not insulated. We are in South Florida and get close to 90 degrees daily from mid May through mid October. It is not uncommon that the interior of the garage is 94 degrees. I like to do some small projects in the garage and find it not possible due to the heat. I would like to have a mini split installed to make it tolerable to be out there for a couple of hours. I do not plan to keep the ac running all the time, just to cool it off a bit so I can do a few projects out there.
It seems like 12,000 is a bit low and 18,000 is on the high side. I am thinking that the 12,000 would do what I need but would like some opinions.
