Hello I know that evaportor sweating is a sign of some icing, which apparently caused leaks in a year old unit. But maybe it was something else they did not give me a good answer. They just replaced our evaportor coils after only one year of use. The new coils sweats alot. See attachment. Is this a sign that this coil may also go bad and start leaking in another year? A definitive sign or just a low maybe sign. I know one unit is a 1/2 ton larger then the other. Probally the inside unit is 1/2 Ton larger. BUT if so, would it not sweat and keep up with the outside unit easier if it is larger? Trying to decide how serious this is given that next year the unit will be out of the labor warranty. Did they just fix the symptom y replacing the evaportaor and not the cause? There is somedfference of opinions on this topic. Some say that the inside unit being a 1/2 ton larger is not a big deal. I pulled the cover off my ac unit to read specs and to see about installing a hard start kit. I see that it has a hard start kit installed from original install. My issue is that I think it's installed incorrectly. It has a turbo 200x dual start/run capacitor. Leads are bridged to set it up to 80/5. Then it has a Supco SPP6 hard start capacitor. My issue is with the two black wires coming from the hard start capacitor. One of the black wires goes to the 50 MFD terminal and the other black wire goes to the 10 MFD terminal. Neither wire goes to the central common terminal. I know it's tough to tell, but the two black wires coming from the hard start capacitor are coming from lower left and lower center. They are the only black wires in the picture. You can see neither wire terminates on the center terminals. Is this hooked up incorrectly?
