Mold on air handler internal wiring
Hello all,
Air handler in garage has not been used for about a year.
Apparently, mold is growing on the internal wiring. Odd thing is that only the wires appear to be affected and the coil looks fine.
I’m not aware of holes in the ductwork, I’m using the proper size filter, which when used, I replace every 30-90 days, as needed and it appears to be in good condition.
Considering an attempt to clean the wires, but concerned about getting zapped with an electrical charge.
How safe it is to clean wiring with a mild detergent and/or even moist disinfectant cleaning wipes?
