I went to Autozone and used their lone program to get a manifold gauge and a vaccum pump. I bought pioneer adapter from 5/16 SAE TO 1/4 SAE I can connect the adapter to the outdoor unit but it wont fit the hose. I ordered another one from amazon still having the same problem. Does Manifold Gauge for Autos different from the one used in Mini split unit? All the youtube videos recommend this adapter[/FONT][/B][/COLOR]

Hello all, I am installing a mini split A/C in my garage, which I am turning into a living space. So the question is: Do I install it before insulation/dry wall (A/C lines inside the wall) or after insulation/dry wall (A/C lines in the exterior)? I see the value of putting the lines inside the wall but as I would need to extend the line both vertical and horizontal to reach the compressor, I would have to put the vertical section outside anyways. Also, if you do it before insulation/dry wall, how do you get around the interior A/C unit preventing a proper dry wall installation? Thanks!
