replace board in air handler or new air

I have a 15 year old aire flow ac handler in attic. I'm told relay on board is bad and needs to be replaced. Repair board or new air handler?

If you have the skills and tools (soldering iron) and can get a replacement relay, it will be much cheaper to replace the relay than to buy a new air handler. Alternatively, perhaps you can purchase a replacement circuit board that has the relay. I doubt that an HVAC technician will repair the circuit board, although he probably would replace the board if it's available and you don't feel up to doing it yourself.

If you replace either the relay or circuit board yourself, be sure to take pictures of the board & wiring before removing the board so you know how to wire it back up when reinstalling the board.

change the board if it's bad. no one repairs them.

i recommend doing your own diagnostics with our help rather than blindly trusting the tech.
