Question Furnace Replacement and A/C Add Help

I have two bids for replacing my 2002 Trane furnace and adding central air. The bids are very different, ranging from $9,100 for a York LX system to $11,700 for a Lennox Elite. We are heating/cooling only about 1,000 sq ft on one level, so both bids are for a 70k btu furnace and 18k btu A/C. Online reviews are not great for either of these brands, but I supposed with maybe millions installed annually, there will always be some bad apples.

Efficiency is not important, but quiet operation and reliability are.

Any HVAC pros out there who can recommend? Location is Boulder, so A/C load is pretty light and heating moderate.

The first step is doing an AHRI approved manual J load calculation to figure out what size equipment you need.
Online consumer review sites know little to nothing about hvac. And are not a very wise choice to determine how well your equipment will run.
Brand name doesn’t mean much.
