Hi All, Was wondering if anyone would know this. My office AC unit wont turn on. I am thinking is the contactor but I wasnt sure. Prior I had replaced the contactor before. I pushed in the switch and power up, but it was the contactor. This time, I tried pushing in the switch and AC wont power up. So I am not sure if is the contactor again. Could the contactor be bad so even the unit wont turn on when is manually engaged? Thanks in advance

I need to clean my A/C evaporator coil--it has frozen up a couple times and while it's a new-to-me house, I suspect it hasn't been cleaned in a while (if ever). The prior owners had a ton of dog hair in the ductwork and the position of the furnace filter has a single bar across the middle to hold it in place, so the filter was bent back in a V shape by the return air and it clearly wasn't filtering the return air. I'm sort of stumped as to the best way to access the coil. There's no access panel on the front of the air handler as shown in the attached photos. I've unfastened the screws on the sides of the front and it looks like that whole front panel will come off. So... Option 1 is to remove the whole front of the air handler. Obviously I have to remove the furnace exhaust vent and the humidifier duct at the top of the photo, but what's the best way to deal with the coolant lines and the PVC drain pipes so I can remove the whole front panel to get to the coil? Option 2 is to cut in an access panel. I'd still have to remove the exhaust vent, but I'm not sure how to best cut in an access panel since I don't have a nibbler and don't want to damage anything inside the handler.
