noticed these wires broken on my central air compressor

my central air has been acting up lately, one problem i had was mice chewed through the thermostat wires where they go into the outside unit, after fixing that i noticed these 2 black wires on the compressor are broken, either by mice as well or by corrosion. It looks like some kind of sensor but i dont know what it is called so i can order a new one. her is a pic of the 2 black wires that are broken on my unit.

any help is greatly appreciated

Those two wires at the bottom are most likely for the crankcase heater.

Crankcase heater wires.
Good to have for the unit but they aren’t always connected. The wires just go to line voltage.
