Danby model DPAC10011BL. Condenser fan does not run.
Hello
compressor stops after few minutes, its because the condens

or fan is not running.
I opened it up.
Motor is bad or the condesor is.
My question is. Can i remove the condensor and join the joints to do the fan direct.
Thank you

No.... you cannot short the run capacitor. That will cause motor damage.
You'd either need to check that cap with a capacitance meter or replace it.
It should only be a few dollars.
It looks like two supply wires to the motor. Verify there is 120vAC on those wires.

I put the volt meter on the wires going to the motor. The meter shows 110 volts when the compressor starts.
So now it is sure that the problem is in motor.
Can a bad capacitor stop motor from running. The motor is not showing any signs.
checked the capacitor as per instructions on youtube, its good. Its the motor.
Where to buy such motors, parts are very expensive in Canada.
can i fit a 110 motor from a broken Ac.
Thank you.

You may be able to use a motor from another portable A/C but that would require you to match it by sight and make sure it turned in the correct direction.
That motor is back ordered at most US parts sites but Danby in Ca. may have it.

Are you sure that is the capacitor that belongs to that motor ?
It certainly doesn't look like it.
You motor is a three speed motor.
Your capacitor is a two stage capacitor for an A/C compressor and condenser fan.
Condenser fans are typically one speed.
If you are certain they are meant to be together........
Connect motor black to black terminal on capacitor. Neutral wire also connects to this location.
Connect motor blue to white terminal on capacitor.
The hot wire to the motor connects to one of the three wires below depending on the speed wanted.
White = low speed
Yellow = medium speed
Red = high speed.
