York YCJD30S41S1A drain tube just laying there....what does it connect to?

Different issue than my contactor clacking thread. I notice that the drain tube is just laying there outside of the unit. Is it supposed to connect to something or is it really just supposed to lay there?

I *believe* that the other end of it goes to a Diversitech CP-22 pump about 50 feet away in my crawl space. On the CP-22 I notice that it is now running all the time. and the Alarm light is solid red as well. I don't remember that being the case.

I'd at least like to understand where that drain tube is supposed to go on the outside unit.

Thanks!

The drain tube doesn't go anywhere. It just discharges the water onto the ground.
