Musty smell from A/C

We have three units in our house. One of them controls the master bedroom, bathroom and closets exclusively. The other day we started getting a musty smell in just the master bedroom. Nowhere else in the house.

Called my AC guy, he came out, said he sprayed a bleach solution on the evaporator coils and give it a few hours and turn it back on and see if it worked. He said the drain line is clear which I've read can also contribute to a musty smell. He reminded me that he had to do this a couple of years ago, just on this same unit, not the other two.

So whatever he did helped A LOT. It's practically gone, but a few days later I'm beginning to smell it real faintly again. My question is two part:

1- Is this the right approach to a musty smell? Seems like he's barking up the right tree at least since it helped so much. He just may need to take another pass at it.

2- Why is this only happening to one out of three units in my house?

It sounds like there may be excessive water in the drip pan. That will stagnate and smell.
The drain line may be clear but is the pan pitched toward the drain line ?

If you have the guy back.... ask him if the pan is emptying completely.
