hi, when having a new a/c unit installed is it common practice to replace the orig primary drain pan with a new one?

The primary drain or drip pan is inside the air handler.
The pan the entire unit sits in is a secondary or overflow pan.
If the overflow pan is in good shape with no holes.... it can be reused.
