Circulation Fan Motor Wiring
On my 25 year old York Gas Pack the Circulation Fan motor burned out. I am replacing it today and I noticed that a small purple wire comes from the always hot side of L1 at the Contactor and runs to one side of the Fan Motor Capacitor. Then a Brown and a Purple wire run from the Capacitor to the fan motor. The Motor speed wires run to the Control Board. When the heater is ignited the Control Board sends power to the low speed, Red Wire on the motor. The only thing that seem odd is that the Fan Motor Capacitor has an always hot 120v wire running to it. Does this sound correct?

Welcome to the forums.
Having hot on it is very common.
Typically gas pack units are 240v.
We'd need the model of your unit or post a picture of the wiring diagram to comment further.
