Remove Blower Speed Control

Guys, I have an old unit that uses an Emerson Speed Control to send power to my blower motor but these controllers are no longer available. From what I understand my control board will allow for this speed controller to be removed and replaced with a more traditional variable speed motor with capacitor. My unit is a Comfortmaker serial no. L0243 32034. The speed controller is 1012475 for motor M55BMCNR-216. Any help in how to remove these would be greatly appreciated. Pepper Man

The replacement motor speed control device installation instructions should give you guidance on how to remove/replace unless the replacement is not designed as a replacement for the old board. What replacement speed control are you planning on using?

Looks like you are in for an expensive repair.
That uses a DC motor which must be connected to that speed controller.

You would replace the DC motor control board and DC motor with a 3-4 speed PSC type motor.
You basically need some type of relay controller now. I haven't found one during my quick view.
