Weird AC symptom
Good Afternoon,
Hoping someone can tell me if something is wrong. Sometimes my thermostat calls for AC. I can hear the AC compressor kick on and the handler starts up. However, the handler doesn't ramp up for 10 to 20 seconds every now and then. Most of time time, it starts up just fine though. Is this a possible problem? If so, what could be the issues before I call out a tech to look so they don't over change me or work on the wrong part?
Thank you!
PS 5 ton rheem single stage unit. 2 years old in Florida.

Welcome to the forums.
It could possibly be a problem.
When a motor capacitor gets weak the motor can either not start or start slowly.
However.... on a 2 year old system.... it's not likely to be a capacitor issue.
Most newer system use electronic variable speed motors.
That could be a problem or it's programmed to start slowly.

Possibly blower motor going bad. Should still be under warranty so call the installer. If not known call someone who advertises the brand you have.
