A/C pump down
hi, i am moving the outdoor unit of a 12000 btu fujitsu system . in the past when i have done this i have simply pumped them down, moved them, re vacummed and reinstalled. on this one , however when i try to pump it down, it pumps for a while and then the compressor stalls. intuitively that implies to me the system had way too much refrigerant in it to start. all the others i ever did the compressor would run until the system was totally in the unit ... but this one stalls. whats up ?
thx

Welcome to the forums from the Netherlands.
This is predominantly a North American based site. Here... an EPA license is required to do the work you are doing. Since we don't know who is licensed...... the administrators of the board have requested no discussions on A/C systems charging in the public forums.

What compressor is stalling ?
Are you trying to use the compressor in the condenser to put all the refrigerant in the condenser.

When moving a used system..... the refrigerant gets extracted using a vacuum pump and gets put into a storage container. The moved equipment gets pressure checked for leaks with nitrogen and then put under vacuum.
