Old window unit short cycle
Window ac unit.
Off all day sat for years, is a 1992 coolerator. It was working seeming fine for a few days then recently turned it on, it cools for about 10 seconds and shuts down the compressor and cycles again after a minute.
I had the unit out, nothings frozen and as clean as I can get it.
Thermostat? Low Freon?

Welcome to the forums.
Check the compressor. Is it getting hot to the touch ?
It sounds like it may be cycling from thermal overload.
Doesn't necessarily mean it's low on refrigerant. It could be a capacitor issue.
