AC at home outside unit turns on when trip the circuit breaker AC & AH
Hi,
At my home the outside AC unit doesn't turn ON and the Air handler (inside unit) turns ON and the temperature goes way beyond the set temperature. Thermostat is set at 78 degrees and the actual temperature in home goes upwards over 80 and it shows on thermostat too. When I trip the AC and Air Handler's in the electric circuit breaker then both AC outside unit and Air handler turn's ON and the temperature comes down to the set 78 degrees. Can someone please let me know what could be the issue. This is happening almost every day.
Thanks,
Ven

Welcome to the forums.
We need a little more information to be of help.
If this a heat pump system ?
If the circuit protection keeps tripping for the outside unit..... you need service. If I had to hazard a guess.... your condenser has a fan problem and it shuts down the compressor on high heat and then the compressor tries to restart and trips the breaker. You need to observe the system to see what is failing.
