The top unit is a 3.5 ton and manufactured in October 2004.
The bottom unit is a 4 ton and manufactured in October 2004.
Both units are 11 SEER and use R22 refrigerant.
So, will it require another complete rebuild of my AC and furnace if it goes bad? I really don't want to go through that again, even though I really like the home. I can always counter their offer.
Both are 18 years old and while still available, that refrigerant isn’t produced anymore and can be very expensive. A major issue with them would result in unit replacement.
