LG GOLD ROOM AIR CONDITIONER problem

I have an old LG GOLD room air-conditioner, model number LWC 122 RH 4 in the wall of caravan and it is not working and can't find another one BUT someone has an LG GOLD room air conditioner Model number LWC 122 RH 2 in good working order, what I need to know is it the same size as the one I have so that I can just slide old one out and put the other one straight as really don't want to take frame etc out of caravan wall as it's in there solid,so am really looking for replacement that will fit straight in.
Really hoping someone might be able to help me.
Thanks

Why don't you measure yours and get the dimensions of the other AC and see if the dimensions are the same size?

Already thought of that but person who has it is elderly person who can't measure it and lives nearly 3 hours out of Adelaide

Like you I am not finding any information online about the R2 version. Probably too old to have had much/any online presence. Does the owner have a care giver that can measure the unit? Hopefully version 2 vs 4 is the same except for something minor like an extra operating mode.

I have a similar situation. Specific models don't stick around for long so it's a very slim chance that you can buy the same exact model years later. I framed in an opening for the AC that was over sized so I knew almost anything could fit. Then it is a relatively simple matter to replace the trim to fill the gap and make it look pretty whenever you change units. Modern window AC's have such a short life that it turned out to be good planning. Like you my AC died and I had to replace it and it was slightly different size.

Thanks for trying to help. I was able to get in touch with an LG Air Con specialist who told me that the model I have found should fit straight in, so fingers crossed.
Let you know how I get on as going up to the caravan next weekend 26th Feb
