Air Handler Electrical Connection

I

wiring diagram

this is what i have....2 wires
I have a 2 ton Mr. Cool Air Handler. It says it factory wired for 240 volts. I open the panel and there is a white wire and a black wire, nothing else. Am I to assume they are using the white wire for a hot and i have to put my own ground in? I did contact tech support. They said it was wired for straight 240 volts...use the white for a neutral. Confusing...any suggestions?

Look at the diagram carefully..... it shows 14 YEL (240v)
Below that is shows 14 WHT (120v)
It further goes on to show L2 or NEUT.

So black and yellow are your 240v connections.

That is correct.

If that's the outside unit..... you'll need a disconnect on the wall for servicing.
It would be a 2P 30A non fused disconnect.
You can use a 60A disconnect. It's easier to get and less expensive.
2P60A disconnect
Between that and your unit you could use flex line and separate #14 or #12 wires.
An example of flex whip
