I have wall mounted AC making noise all the time when its plugged in to the outlet( even when the ac off) the only way to get ride of the noise by unplug the power cord , I unplugged the unit for weeks and when i plug it back the noise comes back . here is a link for a very short video to hear the noise
That is the compressor! The control board compressor relay is stuck in the on position looks like an LG built Friedrich post the model number of the AC and I or someone else can help further. That relay can be replaced on the board if you or someone you know can solder and knows how to remove the AC and get to the board.
See that big black relay with the 1/4" spade terminals? That is the compressor relay that is stuck on in your unit.
A 24K BTU unit is worth fixing in my opinion does it still blow cold air? If so I would find a new board or fix the board in your unit if you or anyone you know can solder on a PCB.
Sorry i do not see any photo for the part, can you attach the photo again? do you have the part# so i can look it up? yes thr ac blow cold air. how easy to get to the board inside the unit? i can solder it myself . thanks
That's an older A/C but definitely worth repairing. I would never pass up repairing a Friedrich appliance. Replacing the relay is not a walk in the park. Do you have any mechanically or electrically inclined friends. The A/C will need to be pulled from the wall and it will need to be taken apart for servicing.
The control board is OEM part # P67307677 and is currently out of stock and in short supply.
Your board will use one of these relays...........
I have a Bard 121-A00 (age unknown). We have been using it for a few years but now it will not turn on. Fan, heat or compressor will not operate by jumping red terminal to green fan, yellow compressor or white heat terminal.
There is power going into the panel but no power at the low voltage terminal strip. I know nothing about heat or air units but am inclined to think the problem is the transformer.
Before I start replacing part can someone here give an opinion on what may be causing the unit not to turn on?
