This is described as a 2 stage AC unit on the Lennox site. The Coil is a CHX35-36B-6F-10. Our gas furnace is a 2012 model year Goodman. The wall thermostat is a Calotherm III that has to be the original 1992 vintage.
Where is the actual blower motor housed in this set up? Is it inside the furnace or in the coil? My understanding was you didn't try to mix and match "Stage" equipment. Are there exceptions to this?
The AC is working fine, humidity levels show on my room thermometer as "Comfort" and Room temps are fine and stable. I don't want to damage the furnace....or worse...
Thanks

The blower unit is in the furnace, and is used both for heating and cooling, although the blower speed is usually different for the two modes. If you're system is working well and you're happy with it, be thankful. There are many people who are dissatisfied with their systems.

OK thanks. I was worried about whether the furnace might overheat and get damaged or, even worse, damage the house or the occupants. I'm thinking if the blower is in the furnace and the thermostat is the original wall stat then nothing will change regarding blower speed.

Typically when in A/C mode.... the blower runs at full speed.
Heating mode blower speed is determined by system operation and is slower than A/C speed.
