Just about all the current window A/C's use the condensate water to cool the condenser.
If it's extremely humid there could be some dripping due to an overflow.
In the pictures below are two window unit condenser fans. The ring on the fan is called a slinger.
It spins in the water and slings it up onto the condenser coil and helps cool it.
I have wall mounted AC making noise all the time when its plugged in to the outlet( even when the ac off) the only way to get ride of the noise by unplug the power cord , I unplugged the unit for weeks and when i plug it back the noise comes back . here is a link for a very short video to hear the noise

I have a Rudd HVAC unit. It has been a couple of weeks of temps being in the 90s.
During this time the AC has stopped working at least once a day, more like 3-4 times per day. The NEST unit says 'power' out. Upon troubleshooting this, I have repeated gone to the outdoor condenser unit and pressed the 'reset' button and blower turns on and the AC again works.
I checked the drain condensate line and the float within it and it is completely clear and functional. I opened the indoor unit (see photos) and the drip pan appears to be fine, although there is some rusting. I resealed one of the pipes coming out of the unit just to be sure (as some of the insulation was torn).
However, the same thing continues to occur.
What else can I check? Thank you!
