I am replacing an existing Humdistat. There are two wires connected to the R and C terminals on the furnace panel that run to the old Humdistat.
Per the diagram above, I connected the wires running from the furnace to the R and C terminals on the new Humdistat. I connected the two solenoid wires to the two H terminals. I connected the two wires from the outside temp sensor to the OAT terminals. No other connections are made.
The R and G wires show 24 volts. The Humidstat powers on and call dealer for service light flashes. My multimeter shows no voltage on the two H terminals, even when humidity is set to high and I hear the click. Tried reversing the R and G wires and no joy. Also tried turning the humidity control knob to the far right to reset and still no joy. Any suggestions? Thanks!
The HH terminals are just a switch. They are not powered.
Plus you need a wire to turn the humidistat on automatically.
This is the diagram that I use for my installations.
Our house is 1,500 square feet, 3 bedrooms. The HVAC and ducts have been updated,
"tuned up" (for lack of a better word), etc. My 18 year old son complains his room gets too hot at night when we run the heater. Of course other family members complain they're too cold if the thermostat is set low.
His room is small and it seems to me to feel warmer than other rooms. He keeps the window and door open and the ceiling fan on.
In this situation should the ceiling fan run clockwise or counter clockwise?
Is it okay to close the vent to his room at night, open it during the day?
Hi all, I have a JHS8 portable air conditioner model A002-16KR/A which was working very well, all of a sudden it is blowing cold air out of the exhaust not warm/hot. The air is a similar temperature to what is coming out of the front, cold but not enough to be effective. It is fairly new, but not under warranty or returnable, filters are still extremely clean and the water tank has been emptied.
Thanks in advance.
