I want to add a mini-split heat pump to my detached garage workshop this year. I have several questions, but for now I will confine it to the most immediate need; power supply wiring. My workshop is 24' x 24'x10' high ceiling. The HVAC contractor I spoke to recommended a 240V, 24,000 BTU mini-split. In looking at several of these units they show they use 10 amps. I will need to add a new circuit for this. The distance from the circuit breaker to the AC disconnect will be approximately 100'. Would I need to run 20A or 30A service? And what size wire would I use?

Hello Builders! I have a set of condensors outside my home that appear to use the 402a standard, so I'm really hoping I can just replace the compressors inside of them and not have to replace the condensing units or attic furnaces. The compressors seem to use a lot of electricity, are loud and I wouldn't be surprised if they're the ones built with the house in 2006.
