Mr Cool Heat Pump communication wire gauge
I'm installing 24K BTU Mr Cool heat pump. The unit came with a 25' "communication wire" (the 3-wire cable that runs between the indoor air handler and the outdoor compressor). I may need to extend that cable by a few feet, but can't find any info on the wire gauge that is needed, or the ampacity that it's rated for. It appears to be no heavier than 12G, but just wanted to be sure.

Welcome to the forums.
There are different models and I would think they may require different sized cable.
Typically the interconnect is #12. It carries AC power and a switched leg.
I would think the "control" wiring is three wires and a ground.
The wire they use is indoor/outdoor acceptable. (a commercial pvc jacket cable)
We used to run UF cable. I'm not sure what you can find around.
It needs to be spliced in an electric box.
