A/C fan starts but no air flow inside the house

Carrier AC unit, less than 3 yrs old. Central forced air system, gas furnace inside with AC coils or condenser on top (not exactly sure on terminology).

AC worked great until it didn't. Fan on the outside ac unit will start but it doesn't sound like the compressor is starting. There is also zero air flow inside from the vents, even if I turn the fan "on", it's normally set to auto. So no fan from the inside.

Any ideas on such a new unit? My wife and I actually commented yesterday that the house felt cold, like the ac was working hard, but I didn't think 74 was a temp that would cause undue stress on the unit. I actually bumped up all the zones to 75 yesterday. Left for a meeting and the wife started texting saying how hot the house was getting. We're in Michigan and of course it's going to be 90 the next few days. I called the company that we bought from and they can't get anyone out here for another 5 days....

After combing thru the forum the last hour or so, I think it may be the blower in the furnace. I turned to Heat mode and set the temp 5 degrees more than room temp, the furnace comes on or sounds like it does, but there is no air flow from the vents...

Is the unit frozen up? Go check the unit and see if the blower is running.

Roughneck, no unit never did freeze up, I checked yesterday. No plugs in the drain lines that I can find. I did try turning the AC on again this morning with the same results.

If the evaporator coil inside the furnace froze over you would hear the blower run but not get any air flow. After the system was off all night.... typically the coil.... if iced over.... would have unthawed.

It sound s like an ECM (electronic) blower motor failure.
At 3 years into service it should be still in warranty.
Unfortunately there isn't anything to try or do.

Appreciate the input PJ, it wasn't froze last night when I first started checking it. So what you suggest makes sense. Thanks all!
