Portable Air conditioner cooling issue

I have an Arlec 8000 BTU Portable air conditioner. The issue is colder
air comes out of the exhaust than the vents at the front. Also the
compressor is very noisy and the noise slowly fades out. Then the
unit just vibrates but air still comes out of the vents.

can anyone support me on the issue???

How old is the unit? Is this a new issue or has it done this from the start?

Have you measured the temperature with a thermometer (instead of relying on holding your hand in the airstream)?

AC starts, then a few seconds later stops, pressing reset button starts it back

This A/C is 18 years old, I thought bad capacitor, measured the one in there (rated 50/5) and it was showing (43.5/5), more than the allowed 6% off. Replaced it with a brand new one (measures 50.03/5.01). But nope issue persists. Basically once its going (after reset, it can cycle off/on all day/night), but after idling for a few days, next time you try to start it, it will start, but a few seconds later compressor shuts off, fan stops, central air blower stays on but circulates room temp air. When in this state if I press the little red button on the side of the unit it starts right up and runs like a champ... until next time its idle (not used) for a few days. Here are pictures of the components (cap in picture is old before replacemnt cap), little red button is seen near the bottom to the left of piping. What exactly does the red button do? I assumed its some sort of ground clear but it appears to lead to the refrigirant piping? And what could be the issue? 100-120 MFD 330VAC (that's micro farad) OEM. but is NO LONGER MANUFACTURED. My question is if anyone has put two [b]Start Capacitor in series if that's ok[/b]. I've hard run caps in series is ok. My unit is running well caps are 13yr old so doing this for preventive maintenance since i hear if it fails it might burn up the compressor. I'm not even 100% sure start caps aren't super reliable and last longer than run caps: idk. I already replaced run caps no problem. ? made in USA 56MFD + 46MFD in series. this appears to be a good bet for me - made in mexico 112+-10% (note that's two over and likely runs hot) - made in usa 108-130 (same problem - gambling what i get is closer to 108 and under 120) - two 200's in parallel (nobody stocks 200's) - nah too expensive whata waste also - nobody has a "start kit" for my model (xv13). i'm kinda planning on skipping replacing the solenoid (that takes start cap out of circuit) since i really only require the unit running a few to several years and haven't heard that the solenoid is a common failure item or problem when it fails. i've notice "people will sell you anything as a hard start kit" (burn out your compressor) and i just don't think there are any xv13 start kits to find (should be, 2011 unit now is when people would begin buying - i think it's just a cheap skate deal they don't have 'em) i have another problem (believe it or not!) that local retailers are totally nazzi. they don't sell parts to "non-technicians" and threaten to call police on people who DiY anything hvac. they ask for id.
