Is there a filter in York Air Handler AHP48D3XH21 ?

Hi Gurus,

I replace the return duct filter on second floor every season but today I noticed there maybe a filter inside the air handler. Please see picture

If there is a filter, what parts need to be removed to access it. I am pretty handy and can handle it myseld if I have some guidance.

Also squirrel/mice made a hole in the main duct , I intend to cover it with duct or aluminum tape, will that be ok?

Thanks.

They discuss replacing the filter by removing the filter access cover.
With the way the return duct is installed.... that cover won't come off.
York installation manual - pdf

The flex line to the left should go to a large return grill.
Is there a filter inside/behind that grill ?
There should be.
Only one filter is used.

Looks like they nailed the filter cover in place. may be they did not use it.

Then the unit is protected and there is no filter at the air handler.
