Trim around fireplace

We are trying to place a trim around a U shaped fireplace. The flooring is a bamboo laminate. We cannot find anything to trim it with. We have already tried PVC quarter round and it snapped. Cutting out a wood trim didn't work either. There is a 1/2 inch gap that needs to be covered because it is a floating floor. Any suggestions?

I'm going to assume he's talking about the hearth of the fireplace.

Pictures of fireplace

The pictures won't upload for some reason. Is there an email address that I can send them to? Thanks

Flexible quarter-round from Resinart or Trimster can be shaped into curves of a few inch radius.

Most likely the pictures are too big. Open up in a photo software program and shrink the size down. My program has a selection that says "web quality". The smaller pics should upload per the directions listed above.
