sani-tred to seal a leaky basement

I have read basically the entire sanitred.com site and I have read everything on this forum about basement leaks. I am seriously considering using sani-tread to seal my leaky basement, but first I would like to hear from anyone who has used Sani-tred.

I think the only person who has written in about sanitred is "demeric" and he seems to be connected to the company. No one has ever really refuted the claims that sani-tred makes about it's ability to completely waterproof a basement. Has anyone here used Sani-tred? What do you think of it?

I have a basic understanding of the importance of the ground being graded away from the basement and this will certainly be done in conjunction with Sanitred if I do choose to use it.

Please comment if you have any experience with the product.

I don't know much about Sani-tred, but the best way to fix a leaky basement would be to dug it all the way around, clean it, apply the "black stuff", poly, more black, underground insulation, drain tile and a sump pump. Sure, it will cost more, but there should be more water leaking. At least not through the walls.

Greetings,

The only way to stop water penetration permanently is with the electronic system. Try drytronicinc.com

If you do dig don't use the black stuff, go to lowes and check the polypropolene (?) covering. It's solid and will never leak.

who has "tried" sanitred?

rbysis, have you tried sanitred and it didn't work? drytronic looks to be pretty much commercially focused and way expensive.

Greetings,

It's for residential too. The German website shows mostly residential.
Compared to digging up and laying tile etc it might be cheaper. Besides it works. What happens if you dig and it doesn't work?

You should call them and find out first hand.

I hope you find the best answer for you.
