basement ceiling
I want to convert a portion of my basement into an excercise room. One of my concerns is breathing the insulation in the ceiling above.
Is there a cheap way to cover this up that is safe, i.e. plastic?

What kind of insulation are you talking about?
If you staple some 6-mil plastic to the joists, that should cheaply and effectively encapsulate the insulation.
