Question

Does anyone have information on ventilating an attic with a slate roof? I have cathedral ceilings and three dormers that I wish to preserve. Also there are stops along the attic roofline. If I leave space between the insulation with plastic channels and ventilate the soffits there is nowhere for the air along the roof to go. There is no way to ventilate the roof with a ride vent (at least I think) because it's slate.

Suggestions?

You can put a roof vent in a slate roof. But it must be done by a roof who can put on a slate roof. Lots of putsy work, but not too expensive.
