help with paneling removal/dry wall installation

Help... I am wanting to take down this aweful paneling in my kitchen and put drywall up. Any suggestions or tips on taking the paneling down?? I have done dry wall installation before but any tips on doing this after the panel is down??

The paneling isn't gonna fall down on it's own! Get you hands off of the mouse and keyboard and fill them with a hammer and flat bar. Take out ALL of your frustrations on the paneling -- the pets, kids and wife will appreciate it. Come back if you need any more encouragement.

As ong as you have no plans to salvage the paneling, tear into it and have fun. Please be carfeul and don't get too carried away. There are some safety concerns whenever tearng into any wall.

Be sure not to jerk or pull too hard on any electrical wiring or plumbing.

Bend over or pull any nails that stick up in wait for a passing foot or hand.

Watch out for splinters.
