forgot to plug-in sump pump HELP
#1

Hi,
i decided to do some cleaning the other day around the sumppump and forgot to plug it back in. Now the wall-wall carpet is soaked!
I live in New England opening the small windows right down isn't an option. How do I dry this out!
Thanks Octmac

Octmac:
You have BIG trouble. There is an easy way, and a hard way. Easy way is to get a vaccum that sucks up water. Maybe rent one. After you are done vaccuming, put some fans (18" box)down there and leave them running. Also,
you will need a de-humidifier. This will take about 2 weeks to dry out. The problem with this is that you will have mildew and mold under the carpet. Hard way. Remove the carpet and fan dry the floor. throw out the carpet. Buy new. Now mold or mildew with
this method. Good Luck
