Building wet bar
#1

We are planning to finish our basement - we have the flooring picked out, walls, ceiling etc. We would like to build a wet bar (the plumbing connections are already there) - Where can I find different plans / ideas to help us decide on building the bar??
Also, There is a crack in the foundation where the piping for the woodstove is? How
do I proceed to repair once the cold and
snow are gone??
Thanks!

renomom, the only plans I know of are on the Rockler site at www.rockler.com.
You can design your own! A wet bar is nothing more than a countertop with a sink nearby. I made a glass block bar. I built my own cabinets behind it and topped it off with mahogany plywood. I have a formica top behind it with my sink. My bro-in-law has a simple 2x4 frame, L shaped, with a formica top. His front is oak plywood.
I know a guy in California that has done tops with granite and tile. The bar can be supported by cabinets or just a 2x4 frame. You can even get by with regular base cabinets (like in a kitchen).
