We are wanting to finish our basement. We have a blueprint designed by an architect, however, we would like to do the work ourselves. WE ARE NOT BUILDERS! What is the best "How to" resource we should use, that also has pictures? We have the summer off, so husband and I will be doing the bulk of it.

You certainly have your work cut out for you.
You said you do not have much experience, along that what about tools. The tools you will need are going to be spendy. I do not know of any books that show you how to finish your basement. I would suggest one of the basic building books at your home improvement stores, then adapt it to your situation. Good Luck

You might try www.hometime.com they have some good how sections with specific projects. They use pictures whenever possible and I think that they also have tool suggestions.

I'm scheduled to become the new moderator in the tools forum. I'd be happy to help answer any questions about tools. I have an online tool review www.toolreview.cjb.net that might help.
