Is there a mildew killer for basement walls

Does anyone know of a product to spray on basement walls to retard or kill mildew growth.

The presence of mildew indicates moisture and possibly poor ventalation. Cure those problems to prevent the mildew from returning. To remove the mildew, a spray bottle with 10 to 15% bleach and 85 to 90% water, a scrub brush, and elbow grease will work. Repainting, after removing the mildew, first with a coat of Kilz or Z-Prime, then with a quality paint with a mildecide added may keep it away for a while longer.
