bilco door for basement

i want to put in bilco door in my basement, i have to cut out for door in wall, and dig out for steps. does anyone know of any information i can use to help out. thanks

Dig your hole out first. Get your landing all set, and your slopes. The last thing you do is cut out for your door. Get your door size, and make the hole a minimum of 6" wider then your door frame, and at least 3 1/2" higher. You will have to put in double
jack studs on each side of the door, and a double header over the top of the door. Install your door, and calk very well. Good Luck
